I graduated from Cactus Shadows High School so Cave Creek is near and dear to my heart. Some of my personal favorite local spots are:

Brix Wines – a casual wine bar and store. Grab a glass and build your own charcuterie to sip and snack on while you shop for bottles. Or if you want to make it a full experience order Pizza from Alberto’s Downstairs grab a bottle and cozy up on the front patio.

The Meat Market – a phenomenal butcher and grab and go meal components. Complete with knife sharpening events and Fresh Turkeys at Thanksgiving.

Black Mountain –  a wonderful hike, steps make for a steep but manageable climb. The view is well worth the exercise and the perfect way to end you hike is with breakfast at my next favorite.

Local Jonny’s Cafe & Coffee Shop – Their staff is one of the most friendly I’ve ever encountered and their food is so fresh and flavorful.
